JetBlue C.E.O. Speaks Out About Pillow & Blanket Fee
JetBlue’s CEO, Dave Barger, spoke to Larry King about the airline’s new policy to charge for pillows and blankets.
“It’s been only since the 3rd of this month that we’ve been out there with Pillow and Blanket Campaign, if you will, but if you, I think the way to look at this is, this is a $2 product. A $7 purchase of a brand-new pillow, blanket, a very cool company called CleanBrands up in Providence, Rhode Island. And you take it home with you. And you get a $5 gift certificate store coupon from Bed, Bath & Beyond. That’s a pretty good deal, as opposed to, say, using somebody else’s blanket and pillow. So this is a nice way to offer an amenity, if you will, to our customers.”
It’s only a $2 product if you actually need to go to Bed Bath & Beyond. And you can find a Bed Bath & Beyond coupon on the sidewalk of the street if you really wanted to at the rate they give those suckers away. If not, you’re just spending extra money at BB&B in order to get your “money’s worth” from JetBlue. Plus, you can actually print out BB&B coupons yourself online…
